John, it's clear that members of the U.S. Congress, primarily those in the House of Representatives, are not doing the jobs their constituents elected them to do. More than halfway through the term of the 118th Congress, the bodies have passed 37 public laws. In contrast, in its two years, the 117th Congress passed 362 public and 3 private laws.

The Republican-led House is broken and the Republican Party is dysfunctional. I have not been able to determine what either of them stands for.
